Today we went on a preschool field trip to the Idaho Aquarium. It's still under construction, so there aren't a ton of exhibits. But, the kids had a great time anyways. I have more pictures to share, but I love these two of the octopus.
I learned that if you take the roots of green onion and put them in water, they will regrow! The tall ones have been in there for about 7-10 days and the short ones since sometime over the weekend. I haven't tasted them yet, but at this point I would call this project a success!
When I picked up the kids from preschool it was sunny and 54*! So, we decided to take advantage of the spring-like weather and head to the park. It was only about 45 minutes before the sun went behind a cloud and a cold breeze picked up, but they sure enjoyed every minute.
You know those friends that you just think of as family? These are three of mine. We talk about absolutely anything and everything. Husbands, kids, spiritual stuff, family, food, movies, books, church, struggles we have. And our conversations can make wild turns in a matter of seconds. We just had a weekend of conversation, laughter, tears, food, etc. It left me exhausted, rejuvinated, happy, sad, and feeling blessed.
This is a picture of Emmett laughing. I wish I could record it so you could all hear it. He was playing Talking Tom 2 on the iPad and would dissolve into uncontrollable giggles.
Emmett got these for Christmas. Squinkies and Beanz. Not really sure what they are, except that they are small and collectable. We've had the camera out a lot lately and Emmett wanted me to take some pictures of his little toys. He pretty much set them up the way he wanted and then I took the pictures.
(He's frowning in the middle picture because I hadn't taken a picture the way that he wanted. But the picture makes me laugh a little. What a stinker.)
